The main bearing material is of alluminum alloy providing both high fatigue strength and good corrosion resistance even under acid atmosphere, operating on heavy oil.
These parts are provided with adequate margin after carefully analysing oil film thickness and polar diagram on the computer. Daihatsu Diesel uses alluminum alloy bearings as standard material, and their reliability has been confirmed through operating record, such as long time operating without overhaul in many installations.
