INTERIM DRAFT GUIDELINES FOR THE
APPLICATION OF THE NOx
TECHNlCAL CODE
1 Each engine should be certified in
accordance with the requirements of the NOx Technical Code.
2 Upon satisfactory completion of the Code
requirements, an interirm certificate indicating compliance
with the NOx Technaical Code should be issued by the Flag
State, or organization acting on behalf of the Flag
State,*accompanied by the "Record of Construction,
Technical File and Means of Verification".
3 The certificate is intended as an interim
measure pending issuance of the EIAPP Certificate upon entry
into force of Annex VI.
4 Adｍinistrations are urged to recognise
the validity of this interim certificate and take it into
account when issuing final certificates, whether or not the
certificate was issued by that Adminstration, or organization
acting on behalf of the Adminstration.*
