AMENDMENTS TO THE ECDIS PERFORMANCE
STANDARDS
AND TO THE DRAFT RCDS MODE OF OPERATION
WHICH WOULD RESULT FROM THE ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSAL IN
APPENDIX A
If the proposal in Appendix A is approved, it
would appear necessary to change from“indication”to“alarm”in
the first sentence of paragraph 10.5.7 of the ECDIS
Performance Standards. As a result, the following changes
would also be required:
- ECDIS Performance Standards. Appendix 5. To
change“indication”with“alarm”in line 10.5.7 and to
move this line to the first part of the table dealing with
alarms. To include a new line 10.5.7 in the second part of
the table dealing with indications, as follows:
10.5.7 Indication Repetition
of alarm or indication from position fixing system.
- Draft RCDS Mode of Operation (Appendix 7 of
the ECDIS Performance Standards). To replace the existing
lines 10.5.5-6, 10.5.7 and 10.5.8 with the following:
