Properties
Hygroscopic yellow powder with an unpleasant odour.
On contact with moisture, evolves highly flammable vapours such as
carbon disulphide (UN 1131 which has a flashpoint of-30℃ and a very
low ignition temperature of 100℃). When confined, can cause an explosion due to the wide explosive limits
of the vapours.
Finely divided dust forms explosive mixtures in air.

Observations
Care should be taken when opening cargo transport units in case carbon
disulphide vapours are present.
