MALAYSIA
Born in 1970, AZLAN ABU HASSAN plays the piano & keyboard. A graduate in Combined studies (Accounting with Law) from DeMontfort University in England, he works as a freelance producer, composer, arranger and engineer. He has written and produced songs for popular Malaysian artistes including Sheila Majid, Jamal Abdillah, Azlina Aziz, Liza Aziz, Amy Mastura, Ziana Zain, Camelia, Innuendo, Siti Nurhaliza, Nora and Rahim Maarof. Azlan had participated in many song competitions and was a finalist at the Golden Kite World song Festivals (National level) 1985 & 1989. His composition 'Selamanya' performed by group, Innuendo won the Song of The Year Award and Best Engineered Album in the Malaysian Industry Music Awards in 1998.
Only aged 20, RIZAL KAMARUZZAMAN is currently studying to major in aerospace studies at a local Private institution of higher learning. However, he has been contributing lyrics to songs since 1996 for artists such as Krisya, Rahim Maarof, Innuendo and Camelia. Rizal wrote the lyrics to the song 'Selamanya' performed by Innuendo, which won the Song of The Year Award in 1998 and became the youngest songwriter, at the age of 19 to win an award in the Malaysian Industry Music Awards.
AZLINA AZIZ has released 10 albums to date and is a veteran in international song competitions. Azlina has represented Malaysia in the 1st Asean Pop Song Festival in Manila, 1982, 1st Asean Song Festival in Kuala Lumpur, 1983, 1st ABU Golden Kite World Song Competition in 1985 and won the 3rd placing at the said competition. Azlina also represented the National Tourism Development Corporation and had performed in United Kingdom, United States of America, Japan, Germany, Poland, Australia, Canada, Istanbul, New Zealand, the Scandinavian countries and all the ASEAN countries.
The younger sister of Azlina Aziz, LIZA AZIZ has released 2 albums. Liza was voted the Voice of Asia in Kazakhstan, 1992. in the Best Jury Award. She was the second runner-up in the ABU World song Festival in 1990 held in Malaysia and was two times winner of the ABU Song Festival (Malaysia) for the songs 'Jalinan Bertakhta' and 'Semalam Ku Tolak Ketepi'. Liza's voice can be heard in countless TV and radio jingles in Malaysia as well as in Singapore. Liza is the singing ambassador for the National Tourism Development Corporation and is currently singing with a band called Asia Beat.
