Hiromasa Ide was born in 1941 and graduated from Waseda University in 1965.
Ide started his career as a lyricist in 1973. He wrote many hit songs such as "A Draught" ("Sukimakaze"'), "Song For Tomorrow" and "Spring in the Northern Country".
The song "Spring in the Northern Country" which was composed by Minoru Endoh became a record-high hit throughout East Asian countries.
Presently, Mr Ide assumes an important role as Managing Director for both MEMF, Minoru Endoh Music Foundation and Japan Popular Music Culture Association.
