PLIB Dict model - allows intelligent access on supplier parts. It consists of

Used entirely separately from CAD systems, this allows the user to query PLIB compliant database by structuring the library fields used in the specification of the library reference. Can also filter the eligible parts by deriving other requests from the fields. Can implement this using a web front end search engine- see www.nided.ethz.ch

JWG9 AP212 Status： Tim Turner (later on added by Somendra Singh)
Mapping table is not developed fully. By the end of next month. AP212 AIM is using the 2nd a version of IR (technically and schedule-wise). If it is delayed 212 will get delayed. AP212 DIS is due in June/July.
Review/Editing workshop - added 50 nodes CTC participated, readability improved. Qualification due on this Friday (12 June) with J.Crusse.
Examples of usage of AP212 was presented. Tutorial on 212. Prototype software SIGRAPH
CAE from Siemens was demonstrated.
Harmonisation with AP214 resulted in 20 modifications (May). Implies electro-mechanical APs are then possible based upon this. 214 is also harmonised with AP203 and therefore, 212 inherits this.
2 Sets of Conformance Classes. One for PDM and one for CAD/CAM. Each has something like 7/8 built on top of each other. One big CC takes in all others. Connectivity is built in to these. Can subset the CCs as required. Can also use all if needed.
CC1 is good for 214; CC7 good for configuration management. However, not always easy to do this.
Number of CCs are fixed： about 15.
