Class society survey during ships in operation.
Harmonisation with IEC1162-4 standard tags and AP226.
Ballot comments:
● Make a separate data model under TC8 (no AIM); reference required product data.
● Shipbuilding APs226 separated from NWI by MiTS, IEC1162, ..
● AP development and implementation unnecessarily costly
● Benefit of an AIM is questionable (comment from USA) as there is only a weak link to other ship APs.
● Create an architecture team to integrate STEP ship APs, ISO15926 and other ship standards: oil and gas approach is very different from the APs - NWI has only a limited scope overlap with Oil&Gas.
● A ship data warehouse is required for data transfer between ship and shore. Oil&Gas has such a warehouse. Why don't use that for ships. Probably because the offshore structure is fixed whereas ship is moving. Oil&Gas also monitor structural stress. They have several overlaps between particularly 218.
● Overlap of NWI with other standards to be made clearer.
● Move the following to TC8 as they are independent of the ship product model:
● navigational data,
● environmental observations,
● fuel oil quality report,
● requisition messages,
● ship safety record (including all its subtypes) [Ship safety record has already been modelled with reference to BBs.]
● Ship operation is not mentioned in the planning model of T23. Move to TC8/SC10.
● This business case does not support the definition of ISO10303. Move to TC8.
● Zabi: Product view and lifecycle view cannot be mixed as in the NWI. Further discussion is required on this. Ishikawa's AP framework model requested to have one AP for ship rather than many APs.
● Chester minutes show some discussion with TC8. Zabi is the contact.
● Submit to IEC TC80/WG6 (MiTS) because of weak relationship to STEP.
Ship Operations International Proiect
This project was initiated. Participation solicited. ABS from USA (NNS, Ingalls probably) Europe and EMSA member societies will take part.
MARITIM project: for NAUTICUS integration and standardisation:
Deals with operation/equipment/construction of ships. This project will take up:
● D11: ship survey model
● D13: AP226/RAM-SHIPNET translator
● D14: POSC/CAESAR interface
● Transfer NWI to be SCM compatible
