Resolution 1 - Resolution committee： ISO/TC 8 appoints Mr. HIME and Mr. M(LSTRAND to the resuolution committee.
Resolution 2 - Status report of ISO/TC 8： ISO/TC 8 has noted there is a redundancy in the documentation provided on the working program of ISO/TC 8. In future the Complete work and Work Program, as reproduced from the ISO/CS database will no longer be distributed to ISO/TC 8, but instead the ISO/TC 8 Status Report (doc. 8 N 1000) will be further improved by adding an annex giving the number, title, date of publication, the present status or reconfirmation and responsible SC and WG on all existing published standards of ISO/TC 8 in numerical order.
Resolution 3 - Cooperation of SC 1 and SC 4 on winches and launching appliances for lifeboats： ISO/TC 8 resolves that all future work on winches and launching appliances for lifeboats, including the revision of ISO 6067(WI 01.05) and the elaboration of ISO/NP 15516 (WI 04.26), be a joint effort from SC 1 and SC 4, as necessary setting up a joint Working Group, placed administratively under SC 4.
Resolution 4 - Production control： ISO/TC 8 resolves, with regard to the request from ISO/TC 8/SC 1/WG 2 (doc. 8 N 909) for guidance on requirements on production control requirements in standards, that ISO/IEC Guide 7 paragraphs 4.5 through 4.7 should be followed.
Resolution 5 - A possible standard on engine room arrangements (including human factors)： ISO/TC 8 resolves that the preparation of an ISO standard on engine room arrangements taking into consideration all of the specific issues identified in IMO DE 40/12, including human factors requirements to be considered in such arrangements, be considered by SC 9, in response to the request behind IMO-link-nr 2 and IMO-link-nr 24.
Resolution 6 - Adoption of European standards on Inland navigation vessels by ISO./TC 8/SC 7： ISO/TC 8 resolves that SC 7 should proceed with the possible adoption of EN 526, EN 711, EN 790, EN 914, EN 1255, EN 1502 and prEN 12827 as International Standards, as proposed by CEN/TC 15, by issuing a NWI proposal and/or a WD to the members of SC 7 for ballot, it being understood that no further formal approval from CEN is needed.
Resolution 7 - Internal and external liaisons： ISO/TC 8 resolves that a policy note shall be prepared by the ISO/TC 8 Advisory Group, to guide the subcommittees on the best way to maintain liaisons with internal and external organizations, taking into account any changes in the relevant ISO procedures.
Resolution 8 - Periodical review of standards： In regard to the periodical review of standards, the committee found that the new TMB questionnaire and questions for the five year review of standards do not provide for technical committee assessment of the technical content of the standards under review. As a result, there is no technical basis
