We are eager to proceed with this project, but the current situation would appear to make any progress impossible for the foreseeable future. The project is well within the scope of SC 1, but our proposal at the last TC 8 plenary to transfer it to SC 1 was not accepted. We again offer to assume administration of this project so as to allow work to proceed in a timely manner. At present, the project has already substantially exceeded the mandatory time limit prescribed by the TMB for CD registration.

.7 ISO 7364：1983, Shipbuilding and marine structures -- Deck machinery - Accommodation ladder winches; request for revision in CEN/TC 300. At their meeting (Shanghai) 1996-08-13/14, SC 4 resolved to invite CEN/TC 300 to make a proposal for revision of ISO 7364 and to nominate a project leader in accordance with the Vienna Agreement. In a letter dated 1996-11-26 (8/7006/vE/Mko) to the SC 4 Secretariat, the TC 8 Secretariat noted that some coordination with SC 1 is needed since ISO 7364 remains under the custodyof SC 1. On 1997-09-05, We sent a fax to SC 4 requesting an update on the status of their resolution 9, which has not been answered. We are not aware of any further action concerning this matter.
