PROGRAMME OF WORK
The scope, structure and programme of work for each of the ISO/TC8 Subcommittees (SC's) as well as the allocation of existing standards and (proposed) work items to these SC's and a listing of respective Working Groups (SC's) are provided in Appendix I. Subcommittee Chairmen are responsible to report on the actual status of each work item and to guard the progress of their subcommittee. The work programme of AppendixI (Current Version) will be reported at each meeting of ISO/TC8.
Appendix I has been assigned the number "8N1000." It has been placed under configuration control and will retain this number. For ease of reference all items have been given an internal ISO/TC8 work item number, e.g. [01.01], indicating the SC and a two digit reference number.
There are five (5) Annexes to AppendixI：
Several work items are regarded to be of mutual interest to ISO/TC 8 and the International Maritime Organization IMO. These items are either requested by IMO or are initiated by ISO/TC 8 itself. These items are indicated by an IMO-link-NR. The IMO-link-NR refers to the list in Annex A of this document. The items requested by IMO are additionally marked with an "R" in the first column of annex A.
The relevant IMO bodies and Resolutions or other documents are given in Annex B;
Annex C is an index on ISO standard numbers and refers to the internal ISO/TC 8 work item number and the IMO-link-NR;
Annex D gives some statistical information on the number of work items assigned to each ISO/TC 8 subcommittee; and
Annex E shows the assignment of IMO-link-NR's to the different ISO/TC 8 and IMO bodies, thus indicating the major fields of common interest.
