6. Meetings:
First meeting of the reorganised ISO/TC 8/SC 10 was held at the DIN office in Hamburg 20 October 1997.
Second meeting of SC 10 is planned to take place in Maldon, UK preceding the ISO/TC 8 plenary meeting 12 - 14 October 1998.
7. Any other matters
A new work item has been proposed for "Ship Operational Logs, Records, and Messages". During the NWI ballot six nations indicated their interest to actively participate in this work. One nation did not agree to include the item into the scope of TC184/SC4; instead it was suggested to assign the work item to TCS, Ships and Marine Technology.
