A 646-GT Passenger Car Ferry ORANGE GRACE
The 646-GT passenger car ferry, ORANGE GRACE was completed in February 1996 at the Setoda works of Naikai Zosen Corporation and delivered to Boyo Kisen Kabusiki Kaisha. The ship is now serving the route between Yanai and Matsuyama in Seto Inland Sea.
The ship has a car loading space on upper deck and one passengers cabin space on the Promenade Deck. The Sky View Space is arranged on the uppermost deck (Nav. Bridge Deck) from which passengers can enjoy the good scenery of the Seto Inland Sea.
The loading and unloading of the vehicles is carried out through the ramp doors installed at the fore and aft end of the upper deck.
The ship has twin main engines with twin propellers and a single rudder. Ship's safe maneuverability in the small harbor is accomplished by a bow thruster and twin pro- pellers with a single rudder. During ship's design and construction, special caution is payed to the countermeasures against ship's rolling, vibration and noise.
