DYNA WAVE, 3,600,000 cub. feet Wooden Chip Carrier
The 3,600,000 cub. feet wooden chip carrier DYNA WAVE was delivered in May 1996 to Ocean Village Shipping, Ltd. by Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
The vessel has six cargo holds and four double bottom ballast tanks. The No.4 hold is also used as a ballast tank.
The DYNA WAVE has a bulbous bow, a stern bulb, and a new type of propeller (PAI) to improve propulsion efficiency and reduce hull vibrations.
The wood chip unloading system which consist of deck crane with orange peel type grab bucket, fixed type hopper with feeder conveyor, No.1 conveyor on upper deck, No. 2 conveyor and shuttle conveyor in conveyor room are installed. The large unloading capacity, 975 T/HR and wide size of hatch covers (No. 1 - 16.0m×12.48 m, No.4 - 12.8m ×18.72m, Other - 16.0m×18.72m) help to improve the efficiency for loading/unloading.
The Mitsubishi 6UEC50LS?main engine offers superior reliability and fuel oil consumption, as well as easy operation and maintenance.
