The 68,461-dwt Panamax bulk carrier ARTHUR STOVE, built at the Marugame Headquarters of Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., was delivered to it's owner Lorentzen Bulk Carriers Ltd. in June, 1996.
Features
1. The bulk carrier is a flush decker without forecastle, having a bulbous bow and transom stern.
2. The vessel is specially provided with four 30-ton electrohydraulic deck cranes.
3. The vessel has seven cargo holds for transport of a wide variety of bulk cargoes including grains, ores and coal. Each cargo hold has one hatchway with a side- rolling hatch cover driven by a hydraulic motor.
