G, ELITE, 4,000m3 Liquified Gas Carrier
The 4,000 m3 liquified gas carrier G. ELITE built by the Taihei Works of the Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd. was delivered in July, 1996 to the Phil Ocean Shipping, S.A.
The vessel is a well decker, the accommodation and machinery space are located aft, and designed to achieve superior propulsive performance due to the hull form developed on the basis of the latest technology and long experiences of the shipyard.
The vessel has three (3) 1,337 m3 independent cargo tanks, IMO-classified Type 2 PG maximum pressure of 18.6kg/cm2 for the carrying of liquified gases such as propane, propylene, butane, butylene, butadiene and vinyl-chloride monomer (VCM).
Three (3) electric motor driven deepwell pumps (350 m3/h for LPG) are provided for unloading cargoes, and one (1) cargo compressor is installed both for normal and emergency operation.
Machineries in the engine room are monitored and controlled from the engine control room applying NK un-manned notation.
