also increased their contributions in environmental concerns. In respect of environmental education, most universities and colleges provided courses and degree on environmental studies at various levels up to doctorate degree. Primary and secondary education environmental teaching is also included.
However, regarding familiarity with ENRA among users and statisticians in Thailand i.e. planners, analysts and statisticians. Very few of them including national accountants really understand what ENRA is.
3.2 Basic Statistics for ENRA
All data of flows and stocks resulting from economic transactions and environmental concerns is the criteria of data required for ENRA. Classification is proposed in ideal uniform in the 1993 handbook of SEEA for general application. However, to complete as suggested would be impossible. To attract implementation it is better to minimize classification stocks and flows data for possible practice as priority in use for individual country.
Viewing through SNA compilation in Thailand which is now using 1968 SNA in general concepts and definitions but standard accounts (core accounts) are presented in the form of 1953 SNA. Evaluation of statistical circumstance in Thailand as SNA practitioner and planner is rather useful because this job needed all kinds of basic statistics.
The problems in respects of utilizing statistics in Thailand are (1) Quality, forms, and unavailability of statistics: There are some inconsistency in concept e.g. income, expenditures (current & capital) etc. Insufficient data e.g. quantity data for household consumption and self-produced of goods and services, cost structures of industries, details at required levels etc. Capital and technology by industry and regions (2) Non-continuous reports or conduct in different year or areas which is difficult to apply to make benchmark of the whole year/area. (3) Lack of cooperation system between users and statistical makers in respect of request and response (4) There is no national plan to develop statistical work.
