Classic acupuncture, bee venom acupuncture and neuropeptide delta-sleep were used for 120 adult patients (from 60 to 80 years).

More efficiency of acupuncture and bee venom acupuncture for decrease of cefalalgical, vestibular and cochlear syndromes was founded (p<0,05). Neuropeptide and classic acupuncture improved appreciably the condition of higher brain functions, mood and sleep (p<0,05).

QUALITY OF LIFE OF OLDER PERSONS WITH SEVERE PHYSICAL DISABILITIES

Crt Marincek. Helena Burger (Institute for Rehabilitation, Ljubljana, Slovenia)

Rehabilitation programs are quite often very institution oriented. not taking into account real needs and situation at home. Quality of life of persons with severe disabilities might be very specific from country to country, therefore studies have to be performed in the local environment.

This is specially true for older people who live at home for many years with their respective disability. Do they use sometimes expensive rehabilitation equipment provided by specialized services? What are their real needs? Students of College for health studies in Ljubljana paid a visit to homes of 25 persons with above knee amputation and 27 persons with stroke, all over 65 years of age.

Evaluation of their findings in real life situation will be presented.
