Japan Air Line (JAL) has been appointed as the official air carrier.

HOW TO GET TO KYOTO

The main overseas routes to Kyoto are either through Kansai International Airport (Kanku) or New Tokyo International (Narita) Airport. Kanku is much closer to Kyoto than Narita. However, it has fewer international connections.

From Kanku: 75 min. by Airport express train.“HARUKA”, to Kyoto station.

From Narita: (l) 60-90 min. by train (JR Narita Express) or bus to Tokyo station. 2hrs. and 15min by Super Express “Hikari”(Shinkansen or“Bullet”train) from Tokyo station to Kyoto.

(2) Transfer to a domestic flight either to Osaka (Itami) Airport or to Kanku. It takes 60 min either way (the number of f1ights is limited). From Itami, 55 min. by Airport bus to Kyoto.

HOW TO TRAVEL IN JAPAN

Japan is full of interesting places. After the congress, if you wish to travel to Tokyo or other places in Japan, taking Super Express (Shinkansen or “Bul1et” train) is an easy way to go to major cities. Please consult the JTB Travel Desk at the congress site for any travel arrangements.
