related medica1 problems (Occupational Health Hazards) while you are engaged in a part-time job as a factory worker. When you become a doctor, the combination of your theoretical knowledge and your personal practical experience in the past as a part-time laborer would enhance your understanding of such a patient. This in return will equip you to give better medical care to this patient as well as to all other patients. The point l would like to emphasize here is that the student-life is the period of learning in its true meaning, not to memorize the text‐books only in order to pass the examinations. But it is the time to learn from others' experiences and their ’philosophy of life' as well(Which may or may not be found in written books)in order to build a better and stronger foundation for your own future. These can be accumulated from the exposure to different people and their cultures both at home and abroad. This,in return, deepen the understanding of oneself and his/her own culture. In the long-run,in case of a medical-student,all of these will contribute to be a better physician,in order to take care of each human-being(your future patients)as a human-being(in other words as a better, physician).

In Japanese.

人間として人間の世話をするために自分の基礎を作ること。

In conclusion, this Fellowship Program was designed to give exposure-opportunities to deserving students to challenge a better future-leadership of Japan with more responsibilities in the field of International Health collaboration.

ですから金もちよりも心もちになるために皆さんこれから大いにがんばってください。
