*The competition of Men's and Women's Singles will be in 2 stages．
In the first stage shall be played in round robin system，with 3 players in each group.
The second stage shall be played in simple knock out system by the winners of each group.

Note:In the case that vacancies arise the host Association may fill the vacancies up to a maximum of two more players.

Travel
The Japan Table Tennis Association will provide at half-price of the international air fare economy class between an international airport in the participating countries and Narita Airport，Japan for;
all invited players only．
Note: An offcial receipt of purchasing air tickets will be requested to show as evidence to calculate the half price to be relmbursed．Fail to show the offlcial receipt of purchasing the amount of reimbursement will be calculated according to the low season economy class air ticket price available in Japan.
12.Hospitality
The Japan Table Tennis Association will provide free hospitality from dinner on February 12 to breakfast on February 17 and the transport between the narita Airport（New Tokyo International Airport）and Chiba for:
all invited players only．
Accompanying visitors and extra persons can be accommodated on the same basis with the others at the charge of 13,500JPNYen per day per person in twin bedded rooms or 16,000JPNYen in single rooms.

The Jury Meeting will be held at Chiba Port Arena at 13:00 on February 12th, 1997
