Next I would like to compare the life cycle costs of System 209 and conventional trains.
This diagram compares the estimated maintenance and new car production costs of Systems 209 and 205 for a 13 year period. According to this diagram, the life cycle cost of System 209 (with maintenance and new car production) is figured to be 60% that of System 205.

(4) "People- and environment-friendly" rail car.
Let me now explain the service concept of "People- and environment- friendly car".
Basically, this means the safest and most comfortable conditions for passengers in crowded trains. The car interior has been completely redone to accommodate both standing and seated passengers. A variety of new services have been introduced: ceiling fans, new straps, station indicators, space for handicapped people, and facilities indicated in the drawing. You are invited to see our video in this regard.
As for "people friendly" devices: the wide fixed side windows give standing passengers an adequate view. The door facing inside the train is flat for safety in opening and closing, and has a safety device so that baggage stuck in the door can easily be removed. Protective devices are installed between cars so that people do not fall off the platform. The interior is visually appealing. Round-shaped designs are soothing during rush hour; and the basic gray color tone and two-tone colored seats give the passenger area a spacious impression. The rail car is also easy to clean, so it looks good for a long time.
Extra-wide bucket seats and a partitioned wall unobtrusively separate standing and seated passengers.
The grip posts useful for short people are also effective for full capacity seating. "People-friendly" facilities abound in the passenger area: a bilingual station indicator for hearing-impaired and foreign passengers, wheel chair spaces in Cars 1 and 10, senior seats, etc.
