Curriculum
TET curriculum encompasses the four important domains of knowledge,
skills, attitudes and values. The philosophy, scope and extent of each is described below.
Knowledge
Knowledge relates to perception, selection, organisation, processing,
storage and recall of information. It provides students with the essential grounding of
theories, concepts and applications of the various disciplines required in the total
approach to MET. The scope of knowledge is prescribed in the syllabus and covers
technical, non-technical (academic), environmental (industry, governmental structure and
organisation, international regimes) and general or supporting subjects. Syllabus includes
more current subjects such as satellite system, accident investigation, management,
shipping economics
