We are convinced that ship operation have to be considered in a totally new context, with full integration between technology, qualification onboard and ashore and the way our operation is organized. The equipment suppliers must take extended responsibility for ship operation, not only for the guarantee period but through the whole life span of the ship.

As our association see it, we will both have to train our officers to top standard, and integrate the know-how onboard and ashore - plus develop technology corresponding to the qualifications and the manning situation onboard our ships.
