AIR PURGE TYPE LEVEL GAUGE (SYMBOL: LA)
Since the initial stage of the company, Musasino had been contributing to the maritime industry with the developed products such as, Magnetic Float Type, Radar Type, Pressure Type level gauge and its derivative application, Cargo Handling Support System.
As the importance of water ballast management is called recently from point of view for ecological problem, the demand of highly reliable and remunerative level gauge is increasing. Responding to such movement, Musasino developed new version of Air Purge Type Level Gauge with the state of the art technology.
FEATURES
1. Control Box is down-sized by the combination of solenoid valve and air supply manifold, which will help for space-saving.
2. Display of Level will be accurately real-time with detection, and an expected defect in the system will be found in early stage by the self-intelligent function.
3. The intermittent air supply will save the total air consumption, but it will work to clean pipe line and minimize the clogging.
4. Tank will be remotely monitored on PC, and automatic posture control could be applicable by adoption of MMnet.
WORKING LOGIC
When pneumatic air is supplied to the air supply pipe in the tank, the level of liquid inside of pipe will be lowered gradually until reaching at the lower end of the purge mouth, and then air pressure in the pipe will become stable equivalent to the pressure of the tank content at the open port of purge mouth. (Refer to the right sketch)

Where, P: static pressure in air supply pipe, g: specific weight of tank content and H: depth of tank content. Therefore, we can get the content depth in the tank when we know the specific weight of content by measuring static pressure in the air supply pipe.
