At the last plenary meeting of ISO/TC 8/SC 1 (Tokyo 2002-04-17/19), we agreed that if our work warranted it, we would meet intersessionally, tentatively in November 2002 in Copenhagen (to coordinate with a planned meeting of WG 3 in Stockholm in the same time frame). As it turned out, this scheduling proved not to be practicable logistically, and winter holidays conflicted with later dates in 2002. We have finally managed to arrange for meeting space at the Danish Standards Association in Copenhagen for Monday and Tuesday, 13-14 January 2003. I apologize for the limited advance notice, but hope that you will nonetheless be able to find time in your busy schedules to participate.

　

The official meeting invitation and draft agenda are attached as enclosure (1). Our primary focus will be to make progress on our draft standard for survival equipment for survival craft and rescue boats preparatory to our next SC 1 plenary meeting in April. We will also review the latest draft of ISO/WD 24432 Thermal protective aids with sleeves, and as time allows, we may further consider the revision of ISO 7061 Pedestrian access equipment.
