WG 1: Propeller tapers

Scope applies to vessels up to 50 m length or 500 gross tons, single phase a. c. to 250 v; three phase a. c. to 500 v and d.c. not exceeding 50 v.

No meetings of the above Working Groups are planned for 2002. The draft joint IEC/ISO electrical standard may be circulated to the WG members of record for comment during 2002. ISO 10133 and ISO 13297 to remain in place as published.

Report from the convenor of WG 13
FDIS 11192, Small craft - Graphical symbols, was sent to ISO CS 2001-06-06. Problems have arisen concerning the registration numbers of the symbols and we are still waiting for answer from the responsible committee ISO/TC 145/SC 3.
TC 145/SC 3 changed the Secretary, which caused us a delay of nearly a year. After that we had a lot of problems with the registration forms. When we prepared these in the right way we got an answer that we had to change quite a lot of the symbols.
After discussions with the former convenor, Mr. Behrmann, an e-mail was sent to TC 145/SC 3 asking if some of the changes could be left. It is not very easy to change the shape of the symbols, because they have been used for many years like this around the world. This question was sent 2002-04-19.
We have tried to get an answer from TC 145/SC 3 before this meeting but no response.
