[06.14] Radio equipment GMDSS (IMO-link-NR04)
IEC 60945 has already been published to respond IMO Res.A.694(17) "General requirements
for shipborne radio equipment forming part of GMDSS and for electric navigational
aids". Further, standards for GMDSS equipment itself have already been published
as IEC61097 series incorporating the said IMO Resolutions. Therefore see no reason
for this item to remain this item.

IHB(secretariat of IHO) replied to SC6 secretariat by their letter dated 2 November
