2) The LPG tanker has two each of mutually independent cargo liquid lines and cargo vapor lines, so that two different types of cargo, i.e. propane and butane, can be handled at the same time and can be loaded in any of 16 different stowage patterns.

3) The cargo gear comprises four reliquefying devices including one reserve unit and two main cargo pumps for each cargo tank. The vessel is further provided with two booster pumps and one cargo heater/vaporizer to permit cargo handling in a manner matching the available facilities on shore, which may widely differ from port to port.

4) The cargo piping on the upper deck is built of stainless steel to reduce the maintenance workload.

5) In the cargo control room, cargo pumps, valves and reliquefying devices can be centrally monitored and remote/controlled in addition to centralized monitoring of liquid levels, temperatures and pressures in the cargo tanks and the pressure in the hold space to make possible safe and efficient cargo handling.

6) The main engine is a fuel-efficient ultra-long stroke two-stroke low-speed diesel. Further fuel efficiency is achieved by the use of a hull form with little propulsive resistance and a Kawasaki finned rudder bulb.

7) To satisfy the requirements of the MARPOL Annex VI rules for the prevention of air polluting emissions from ships, measures are being undertaken to reduce NOx emissions from the main engine and the generator diesel.

8) For greater safety in the living accommodations, engine room and cargo space, the LPG carrier is provided with higher-grade fire-preventive and fire fighting systems than conventional vessels, in recognition of which Det Norske Veritas has given the vessel an F-AMC notation.

9) In addition to the anti-vibration design of the superstructure and the anti-noise design of the accommodations, an anti-vibration design is applied to the main engine including the shafting and an aft damp tank is provided to absorb water pressure fluctuations and thereby to damp the vibration-causing force generated by propeller movements, all with a view to reducing vibration and noise of all kinds.
