LPG Carrier "Djanet" Delivered

The LPG carrier "Djanet" with a cargo capacity of 84,000 m3, one of the largest in the world, was christened and delivered to its owner on October 4, 2000 at the Sakaide Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI). It is the second of two sister vessels ordered by Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation affiliated with the Algerian national oil and gas corporation. The first vessel "Reggane" was delivered in October 1999. KHI has built 24 LPG carriers since 1969, and the latest one as well as the others, embodies the builder's wealth of experience accumulated through the construction of so many LPG carriers and LNG carriers.
