ガルネリ・デル・ジェス1736年製ヴァイオリン「ムンツ」

バルトロメオ・ジュゼッペ・グァルネリ(1698-1744)は、18世紀前半にイタリア・クレモナ地方で活躍した弦楽器製作者。アントニオ・ストラディヴァリに並ぶ最高級の弦楽器製作者と言われ、「ガルネリ・デル・ジェス」もしくは「デル・ジェス」として知られている。デル・ジェスが製作した楽器は、主に力強い音色で知られ、1736年に製作された赤茶色のニスを持つこのヴァイオリンは、彼の作品の中でも、特に名匠の特徴を備えている楽器であると言われる。この楽器は、英国の収集家ムンツ氏が一時所有していたため「ムンツ」と呼ばれている。1995年3月に当財団が購入した。

 

Guarneri del Gesu 1736 Violin "Muntz"

This violin takes its name from the ownership by a famous English collector, H.M.Muntz of Birmingham at one time. This violin was made in 1736 by Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri (1698-1744), better known as Joseph Guarneri del Gesu or "del Gesu". Guarneri del Gesu is considered to be one of the two world's greatest stringed instrument artisans of Cremona. Italy, together with Stradivari. This violin with orange-brown varnish worn to gold is known to have some of the best features of the master's work. Nippon Music Foundation acquired this instrument in March 1995.
