1 Purpose
The purpose of marine accidents inquiry is to contribute to prevention of marine casualties which otherwise might be repeated. When the accident has been incurred by willful breach or negligence of duty by a licensed marine technician or pilot, disciplinary punishments shall be imposed on them by the judgement.
When people other than licensed marine technicians or pilots are related to the cause, recommendations shall be given to them.
