Article 85. The daily allowance to be paid to the witness, etc. under Article 64, paragraph 1, of the Law shall be calculated by days necessarily for appearance and incurred travel (hereinafter called “appearance etc.”) . The sum shall be as approved by the Marine Accidents Inquiry Agency, but not more than \8,150 a day for witness and \7,750 a day for expert witness, interpreter, and translator.
Article 86. The lodging charge to be paid to the witness, etc. under Article 64, paragraph 1, of the Law shall be calculated by nights necessarily for appearance etc., and the sum shall be \8,700 per night for the District A as prescribed in the Schedule (1) attached to the Law concerning Travelling Expenses of Government Officials (Law No. 114, 1950) and \7,800 per night for the District B as prescribed in the same.
Supplementary Provisions
1. This Ministerial Ordinance shall be applicable as from the day of the enforcement of the Marine Accidents Inquiry Law.
2. In regard to the application of Article 12, one who once has been a Judge or Commissioner of the Marine Court or the Marine Accidents Inquiry Court shall be deemed to have once been a Judge or a Commissioner of the Marine Accidents Inquiry Agency.
