Subject: Protocol of 1997 to amend the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto - Signatories
The Secretary-General has the honour to refer to article 5 of the Protocol of 1997 to amend the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto, according to which the Protocol remained open for signature from 1 January 1998 until 31 December 1998.
As of that date, signatures had been affixed by representatives of five Governments. The signatures and dates on which they were affixed, together with other inscriptions, are set out below:
