･ tourism
･ transporting of household goods to Lao PDR, mainly from Thailand
･ transporting of wood from Lao PDR to Vietnam.
･ The traffic volumes are still low.
･ The future traffic will consist of the same main groups than current traffic
･ Traffic volume will rise sharply
･ Lao PDR has great potential for transit traffic, being situated in a strategic position between big population centers.
