anti-cyclonic Beaufort Sea gyre, and a corresponding strengthening of cyclonic circulation in the East Siberian and Laptev Seas, with a movement of the Transarctic Drift Current towards the Beaufort Sea. A shift back to previous conditions is forecast by their models and this could mean that the Atlantic Layer could start to cool to its previous state.
