石見神代神楽上府社中
石見神代神楽上府社中は、社家(神主)による神前奉納神楽舞から、氏子の有志の民衆神楽へと引き継がれた慶応年間よりもっとも盛んになったと推測されます。
特に、浜田地方に代表される八調子校定石見神楽台本の完成を契機に、上府神楽社中も一層の洗練と躍進に努め、大阪万国博の出演以来、全国津々浦々の祭り・催し、中国・アメリカ、また世界各国のイベント等での公演を通じて、この日本の民族芸能を広く紹介しています。
我々は、子供神楽を通じて子供達の健全育成、後継者の養成、日本太鼓の響きで地域文化の再生と人々との交流を盛んにし、益々活力のある郷土づくりに励んでいます。
本日は、姫を助けるために男神が大蛇を退治する場面をお楽しみください。
Iwami Jindai Kagura
It is believed that Iwami Jindai Kagura prospered the most when the religious kagura(Japan's traditional sacred music and dance)performance transformed to a mass public performance in the end of 19th century. Encouraged by the well-received performance at Osaka World Fair in 1970,Iwami Jindai Kagura began to actively participate at national and international cultural events. Through regional festivals in Japan and events overseas in China and the United States,for example,the team has been introducing an example of Japan's folk art extensively.
Through children kagura,the team strives to boost adolescents' healthy growth and,at the same time,to train the next generation kagura performers.
Tonight's performance features a scene where a god conquers a monstrous eight-headed dragon to rescue a princess.
