Fuchu Hayashi has a long history as native folk art of Fuchu,Tokyo. Fuchu Hayashi(Hayashi-sacred Shinto music and dancing) has two schools named after the local regions:Meguro and Funabashi schools. Performances by the two schools are believed to have been constructed during the Edo period(1603-1867). They each have different characteristics,Meguro school performances are more cheerful and lively, whereas Funabashi school performances tend to be more elegant.
