Respiratory stimulants
Dimorpholamine
Theraptique (Dimorpholamine intramuscular injection 1.5% 2 ml ampule)
Dimorpholamine stimulates the respiratory and circulatory centers to increase the respiratory volume and blood pressure.
Indications: Respiratory and circulatory insufficiency due to shock, hypnotic intoxication. drowning, pneumonia, and high fever.
Dosage: 30-60 mg (1-2 ampoules) via the intramuscular route. If necessary, the same dose may be given repeatedly unless the daily dose exceeds 200 mg (6.5 ampoules).
Storage: At room temperature.

 

Corticosteroids
?@Orgadrone (Dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection 0.5% 1 ml ampule)
?ARinderon (Betamethasone acefate/betamethasone sodium phosphate injection 0.4% 0.5 ml ampule)
Corticosteroids block the vicious cycle of biological responses and thereby improve various symptoms. Also see (P.27) the information on oral corticosteroid preparations.
Indications: Shock, drug allergy, and acute drug overdose.
Dosage: ?@--2.5-5 mg (1/2-1 ampule) via the intramuscular route.
?A--2-4 mg (1-2 ampoules) via the intramuscular route. If necessary, an additional intramuscular dose may be given 3-6 hours later.
Protected from light at room temperature. (Note) 0.5% 1 ml=5mg 0.4% 0.5ml=2mg
?B Solu-Cortef (Hydrocortisone sodium succinate for injection 100 mg/vial)
Hydrocortisone sodium succinate is recommended as first-line therapy for shock.
Indications: Emergency treatment for shock.
Dosage: 50-100 mg (1/2-1 vial) dissolved in an appropriate solvent within the vial and given via the intramuscular route.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature.

 

Sugars
?@5% Glucose Injection (Glucose injection 500 ml vial)
?A5% Kylit Injection (Xylitol injection 500 ml vial)
Sugar preparations provide fluid and carbohydrates, thereby exerting cardiotonic and antidotal effects.
Indications: ?@ Supplementation of fluid for dehydration, detoxication atter drug or toxin poisoning, supplementation of carbohydrate for hypoglycemia, and fluid and energy supplementation for other conditions. ?A Fluid and energy supplemention in diabetic patients for whom glucose is contraindicated.
Dosage: 100-300-500 ml via the subcutaneous route in combination with hyaluronidase (Sprase).
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature.

 

Hemostatics
?@Adona (Carbazochrome sodium sulfonate intramuscular injection 0.5% 2 ml ampule)
?AKaywan (Phytonadione injection 1% 1 ml ampule)
Product ?@ exerts a hemostatic effect by acting on the capillary vessels. Product ?A exerts a hemostatic effect by acting on the mechanism of coagulation.
Indications: Hemorrhage of all types, including cerebral hemorrhage, hemoptysis, hematemesis, melena, and hemorrhage from wounds.
Dosage: ?@?A 10 mg (1 ampule) via the subcutaneous or intramuscular route.
Precautions: For repeated administration, different injection sites should be used to avoid induration.
Storage: Protected from light at room temperature. (Note) 0.5% 2 ml=lOmg 1% 1 ml=10mg

 

Blood substitutes
Ringer's solution (500 ml vial)
Ringer's solution is administered as emergency treatment for massive fluid loss.
Indications: Massive bleeding, burns, diarrhea, intoxication of various types, and shock.
Dosage: 100-300-500ml via the subcutaneous route in combination with hyaluronidase (Sprase).
Precautions: Overdosage may cause dyspnea or edema.
Storage: At room temperature.
