Purpose:

Brief profile:
The Ocean Policy Research Foundation (OPRF) was established in 1975. OPRF has since made contributions to the development of Japan's shipbuilding and related industries through a wide range of activities. Today, OPRF is strengthening its commitment to ocean-related projects.
Among major research projects and R&D efforts undertaken by OPRF are: CIMS for shipbuilding use; research to reduce environmental impact of ship emission; development of an innovative, highly efficient natural gas engine system, and ocean think tank activities.
