Established in 1911, Sanoyas is one of the oldest shipbuilders in Japan. It has concentrated on newbuilding and repairing various types of vessels, though it has diversified lines of business in such fields as tank, multilevel parking facility, construction apparatus and amusement equipment. The ship division is, however, still its main line of business, which is continually being developed to maintain the trust of shipowners.
Mizushima Works & Shipyard has a lot of experience building various types of ships, meeting customer satisfaction each time. As well as ships, it also manufactures large-scale iron and steel structures such as LPG tanks. Efficiency and economy are maximized on its 291,000-square meter factory with comparable technology and facilities.
Osaka Works comprises two dry docks and facilities for maintenance of high-speed marine engines and manufacturing of LPG tanks to be installed in tankers. They are utilized in all phases of repairing, refitting, inspection and ongoing repairing for any kind of the ship. In addition to the above, multilevel parking facility and amusement equipment such as wonder wheels, and roller coasters are manufactured at Osaka Works.

History
Toyohashi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (ex. Kanasashi Co., Ltd.) was established in Osaka in July 1903, and its shipyard was moved to Shimizu City in 1908. It began constructing a newbuilding yard for large tankers in Toyohashi, which was completed in 1974 and in October 1982, the company joined the Kurushima Dockyard group. In the beginning of 2003, the shipyard was renamed Toyohashi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and at the same time spun off Shimizu Factory.
Features
As a member of the Shin Kurushima Dockyard group, the shipbuilder constructs medium-size merchant ships of around 200 meters in overall length (including container ships, car carriers and bulk carriers). Utilizing its large shipbuilding facilities, the company will continue to develop new favorite ship types in its endeavor to remain a shipyard that can survive the international competition in whatever business environment, while strengthening its viability.
