The SYLFF Program, inaugurated at Chongqing University in 1994, has made great contributions to the internationalization of higher education, as well as to progress in the disciplines of social sciences and humanities. The newly adopted SYLFF Fellows Mobility Program will certainly enrich and expand SYLFF's positive influence in the graduate student community.

Belonging to the extended SYLFF family has helped our university to focus on leadership and propagate a culture of social responsibility in our community.
The SYLFF network has sparked and supported contacts and joint projects with fellow SYLFF universities. Encounters with SYLFF colleagues and Tokyo Foundation staff committed to the same vision have been a consistently uplifting and rewarding experience.

Collaborating with SYLFF Program Administrators
Program administrators from the SYLFF-endowed institutions gather once every two years. The participants discuss SYLFF Program-related matters and common issues for higher education worldwide. SYLFF Program administrators held meetings in Vancouver and Barcelona in 1997; at Uppsala University, in Sweden, in 1998; in San Diego in 2000; in Tokyo in 2002; and at Ateneo de Manila University, in the Philippines, in 2005.

Ateneo de Manila University President Bienvenido Nebres presents the vision, mission and objectives of his university during the 2005 SYLFF Program Administrators Meeting.

SYLFF Program administrators brainstorm during a break-out session in Manila.
