17) ISO - International Organization for Standardization.
 The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from more than 140 countries, one from each country.
 ISO is a non-governmental organization established in 1947. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services, and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.
 ISO's work results in international agreements which are published as International Standards.

 The scope of TC8 is standardization of design, construction, structural elements, outfitting parts, equipment, methods and technology, and marine environmental matters, used in shipbuilding and the operation of ships, comprising seagoing ships, vessels for inland navigation, offshore structures, ship-to-shore interface and all other marine structures subject to IMO requirements.

 The Joint Syntax Working Group (JSWG) is responsible for the United Nations Trade Data Element Dictionary (UNTDED)
 
28) ISO/TC204 Technical Committee 204, Transport information and control systems.
 The scope of TC204 is standardization of information, communication an control systems in the field of urban and rural surface transportation including inter-modal and multimodal aspects thereof, traveler information, traffic management, public transport, commercial transport, emergency services and commercial services in the transport information and control systems (TICS) field.
 
29) ISO/TC204/WG1, System Architecture.
 The mission of WG1 is to provide ISO TC204, its Working Groups, related bodies and those involved in the TICS sector with a reference model of Conceptual Reference Architecture(s) that show the structure and interrelationships of the sector and to provide timely and appropriate definitions of Terminology by means of Glossaries and Dictionaries, which explain in plain language and with the minimum of jargon, the terms in use in TICS. WG1 is also developing the requirements for a central ITS/TICS data registry and ITS/TICS data dictionaries.
 
30) ISO/TC204/WG4 Working Group 4, Automatic Vehicle and Equipment Identification (AVI/AEI).
 WG4 addresses automated vehicle identification and automated equipment identification.
 
31) ISO/TC204/WG7, Working Group 7, General Fleet Management and Commercial/Freight.
 The work of WG7 is the definition of standard of Fleet Management and Commercial Freight Operation system to improve the management and safety of the fleets and facilitate the interaction between the vehicles/freight/operations and the local,, national and international authorities including the inter-modal and multinational environment.

 The ITU, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland is an international organization within the United Nations System where governments and the private sector coordinate global telecom networks and services.
 
33) ITU-T International Telecommunications Union
 Telecommunications Standardization Sector Study Group 16
 The Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) embodies ITU's oldest activity - developing internationally-agreed technical and operating standards and defining tariff and accounting principles for international telecommunication services. The work of ITU-T aims to foster seamless interconnection of the world's communication network and systems.
 ITU-T Study Groups (e.g., Study Group 16), where experts develop Recommendations, are made up of members from the public and private sectors.
 
34) JMA - Joint (ISO-UN/ECE) Maintenance Agency.
 Responsible for the maintenance of the UNTDED (published in part as ISO 7372) with secretariat and chair to be provided by the UN/ECE, and results published jointly by ISO and UN/ECE.
 
35) OASIS - Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards.
 OASIS is a not-for-profit, global consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of e-business standards. Members themselves set the OASIS technical agenda, using a lightweight, open process expressly designed to promote industry consensus and unite disparate efforts. OASIS produces worldwide standards for security, Web services, XML conformance, business transactions, electronic publishing, topic maps and interoperability within and between marketplaces.
 
36) SMDG - Ship-building Message Design Group
 User Group for Shipping Lines and Container Terminals.
 
37) UN/CEFACT - United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business.
 UN/CEFACT is open to participation from Member States, intergovernmental organizations, and sectoral and industry associations recognized by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC). The Center's objective is to be "inclusive" and it actively encourages organizations to contribute and help develop its recommendations and standards. The mission of UN/CEFACT is to improve the ability of business, trade and administrative organizations, from developed, developing and transitional economies, to exchange products and relevant services effectively and so contribute to the growth of global commerce. Its focus is the worldwide facilitation of international transactions, through the simplification and harmonization of procedures and information flows.
 
38) UN/CEFACT/TBG International Trade and Business Processes Group.
 The International Trade and Business Processes Group (TBG) is responsible for business and governmental process analysis, best practices, and international trade procedures using the UN/CEFACT Modeling Methodology to support the development of appropriate trade facilitation and electronic business solutions, inlcuding the development and maintenance of UN and UN/ECE Recommendations.
 
39) UN/CEFACT/TBG/TBG3 Transport.
 The primary mission of TBG3 Transport is to identify EDIFACT standard message requirements for the transfer of transport data and to develop and maintain United Nations Standard Messages for transport and logistics purposes.
 
40) UN/ECE United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
 UNECE was set up in 1947 by ECOSOC. It is one of five regional commissions of the United Nations. Its primary goal is to encourage greater economic cooperation among its member States. It focuses on economic analysis, environment and human settlements, statistics, sustainable energy, trade, industry and enterprise development, timber and transport.
 
41) WCO/CCC World Customs Organization/ Customs Cooperation Council.
 The World Customs Organization (WCO), whose official name is the Customs Co-operation Council, is an independent inter-governmental body with world-wide membership whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Customs administrations in the areas of compliance with trade regulations, protection of society, and revenue collection, thereby contributing to the economic and social well-being of nations. One initiative to achieve these goals is the development of the WCO Customs data model. The data model is a standardized and harmonized set of data that can be used by governments and businesses for the transmission of trade related data for the movement of goods, people, and conveyances across international borders.
 
42) WCO/ Facilitation/ PTC/ IMSC/ DMWG
 World Customs Organization/ Facilitation Directorate/ Permanent Technical Committee/ Information Management Sub-Committee/ WCO Data Model Working Group
 The WCO Secretariat is spearheaded by the WCO Council. The Policy Commission under the WCO Council comprises five Directorates called, Facilitation, Enforcement, Harmonized System, Valuation and Rules of Origin. The Facilitation Directorate has a Permanent Technical Committee and an Information Management Sub-Committee. The Information Management Sub-Committee has the WCO Data Model Working group under it. Separately under the WCO Council is the Supply Chain Security Task Force, a multi-discipline group comprising Enforcement Directorate and the Data Model Working Group from the Facilitation Directorate.
