I am writing to thank you for an excellent Annual Assembly in Osaka. The technical part of the Assembly went very well and the rooms were very pleasant. On top of this, I felt the evening social programme was very good. There was good company, fine food and a ready supply of drinks on all three occasions. I believe this must be one of the best Annual Assemblies ever.

IIW's thanks for the IIW Annual Assembly 10-16 July, 2004 in Osaka

　

Dear Professor Fujita,

　

I wish hereby formerly on behalf of IIW to forward our sincere thanks for the perfectly arranged IIW Annual Assembly in Osaka. The venue was extremely efficient and very well equipped. We hope it was not too expensive. The entertainment at opening ceremony and the Japanese Summer Festival were indeed appreciated by all participants. The banquet with a tasteful dinner and music were as well excellent. All the social arrangements were accomplished in a friendly environment. It can be said the same about the industrial visits.

Last but definitely not least the work in all working units were very fruitful and the International Conference covered many interesting papers. Personally I found the Houdremont lecture by Dr Tsuge to be somewhat of an eye-opener and the most valuable paper for me. I think many participants would agree with me. The board dinner with Japanese courses became also a memorable event.

In summary you have all reasons to be satisfied and proud of the whole assembly.

Finally I wish that you will forward IIW's sincere thanks to your whole team behind the arrangements.
