7. The upper surface of the body of a lumbar vertebra belonging to an old adult male over 60 years of age (T.56; S.50-79 A). Notice the irregular bony projections (arrowheads) and the trabeculations of the anterior surface of the body (arrow).
8. The auricular surface of a sacrum belonging to an old adult female over 60 years of age (T.59; S.1-68). The auricular surface is markedly degenerated showing marked roughness and pitting (arrows) with irregular margins (arrowheads).
