The contribution of the Nippon Music Foundation to the vitality and promulgation of Music as a Performing Art is vesome.
The highest quality string instruments bought by the Foundation have been placed in the precious hands of major young artists from many countries and cultures who in turn have performed hundreds of concerts on these fabulous instruments of tonal beauty.
Great music thus enhanced flows more meaningfully than ever into the mainstream of contemporary life. The artists' youth and commitment to music bring renewed intensity to an art form ever in need of renewal.
With an organization at work such as the Nippon Music Foundation classical music need never fear crisis or loss of following. If classical music continues to thrive, it will be thanks to this kind of effort.
My thanks and gratitude to the Nippon Music Foundation
