4.2 Assessment of safe navigation based on the simulation of ship manoeuvring motions under the effect of wind
In this section, the assessments of safe navigation between ships moving each other in close proximity have been examined. In particular, the assessment for the specific case of overtaking has been conducted, because an overtaking situation, compared to the case of head-on situation, is mainly attributed to lengthening the mutual effects on their relative position between two ships.
