5.3 Comparison between three mathematical models
The three models are compared in Fig.20 - Fig.23 for the Ropax passing Bank Alt.1. The first two figures show the force and moment coefficients for a 20% bottom clearance and the last two those for a 10% bottom clearance.

The diagrams show that both SSPA new model (Mod 2) and Ch'ng model (Mod 3) provide a repulsion force for low bottom clearances and high Depth Froude Numbers, more clearly for the latter model.
Fig.23 shows that Mod 3 provides a very high turning moment for both water depths, especially for the 10% bottom clearance.
