AUTHOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Mr Simon Burnay is a Naval Architect leading the ship manoeuvring simulation work at BMT SeaTech Ltd (Southampton, UK). He is responsible for the theoretical development of the BMT simulator, PC REMBRANDT and is also active in the development of ship-handling training applications. He is a graduate of Southampton University (UK) and is a RINA member, serving on the H-10 Ship Controllability Panel.
Dr Vladimir Ankudinov is leading the hydrodynamic and manoeuvring work at BMT Designers and Planners Inc (Arlington, USA). He is a graduate of St Petersburg Shipbuilding Institute (Russia) and has published over 200 professional papers on ship design, hydrodynamics, computer and simulation applications. He is a member of SNAME and serves on the H-10 Ship Controllability Panel.
