6.3 Test progress of he third test ship (Ship owner: A, Name of vessel: B)
 
6.3.1 Status of data sampling
 
.1 Preparations
 The preparation of data sampling was carried out on the following procedure.
-  Investigation on the same type vessel (Sep.21.2001)
-  Preparatory construction on the third test ship (Jan.16.2002)
-  Data sampling at sea trial as the check of instrument (Jan.24. to Jan.26.2002)
 
.2 Service schedule
-  Sea trial: Jan.24. to Jan.26.2002 (bunkered at Marugame) Sea trial was carried out with Marine Diesel Oil and Heavy Fuel Oil.
-  1st voyage: Feb. to Apr. 2002 (bunkered at Marugame, Singapore and Antwerp)
-  2nd voyage: Apr. to Jul. 2002 (bunkered at Singapore and Antwerp)
-  3rd voyage: Jul. to Oct. 2002 (bunkered at Singapore, Antwerp and Zeebrugge)
 
.3 State of data sampling
 On every voyage, engine performance data and exhaust gas emission data were measured.
(3-1) Weekly data (engine performance data)
 Engine performance data were sampled by the crews and the data were reported to the engine manufacturer by e-mail from the ship, in principle one time every one week. And in addition, Pmax, Pcomp and fuel oil samples were gathered one time in every one way of the voyages. Totally so far, 13 weekly data and 7 fuel oil samples were gathered.
